Pat O'Brien, Director

Pat O’Brien is an Oak Lawn Resident and has worked with persons with developmental disabilities for most of his long working career. He has been employed at the Chicago Association for Retarded citizens (CARC), the Illinois Department of Mental Health and for 25 years (1980 – 2005) as executive director of SouthStar Services serving 300 clients in the south suburban area. SouthStar programs included vocational, community living, education and other innovative services.
Pat earned a Masters Degree in Rehabilitation Management from DePaul University. He is currently retired and his personal interests include reading, politics, personal fitness, his grandchildren and volunteering at Christ Hospital.
Pat looks forward to service on the Board of Directors and utilizing his professional and personal experience to assist Park Lawn in furthering its mission.
