SBC Foundation Awards Technology Grant

Jerry Mytych from SBC Foundation proudly presented Park Lawn with a check in the amount of $7,500 through their SBC Excelerator technology grant program. This is the second technology grant by SBC bringing their total giving to $17,500.00. The program is designed to empower non-profits to use technology to better serve their population through interactive, web-based applications that support activities such as service delivery, volunteer recruitment and fund raising. Over the past four years, SBC Excelerator has provided $33 million to more than 2,000 nonprofit organizations around the country. Jim Weise stated "Park Lawn is extremely appreciative of SBC's support of its mission of service for persons with developmental disabilities.” The funds provided through this Excelerator grant award will be utilized to improve our information technology capability which greatly improves the efficiency of our program operations.” Senator Edward Maloney from the 18th District thanked SBC for their generosity and sense of community spirit. Maury Barger and Chuck Dinolfo, Park Lawn Association Board Directors and a group of workshop program participants were at the presentation to personally thank Jerry Mytych and SBC for their generosity and support.
